This song is about a crumbling relationship and how you deal with changes in your life, but it's so much more than that, IMO. Beyond the sad melody and aching vocals, Annie covers the 5 stages of grief: denial ("Some things are better left unsaid"), anger ("Why don't you ever learn to keep your big mouth shut"), bargaining ("Let's go down to the water's edge And we can cast away those doubts), depression ("This is the book I never read, These are the words I never said" / "This boat is sinking"), acceptance ("You don't know what I feel"), to culminate with a single word in the chorus: "Why?". If this isn't a masterpiece to you, then tell me what is.

@unlifer, Я его очень любил. Лирика прям очень понятна. Чистые пруды... Летний дождь. Мне нравится смотреть на город. Но политическое творчество - лучше бы не пел.
Финчу деньги девать некуда. Купил жене сериал, даже на второй сезон не поскупился. Интересно она про это догадывается? Или наивно думает что она актриса?
